I’m sad. My friend, Janine, will be leaving the country and will be transferring to Calgary – the largest city in the Province of Alberta, Canada. She bagged a job with Shell Canada and is very excited to transfer to this beautiful city.

Janine’s currently communicating with our college classmate, Claire, who’s also based in Alberta to help her look for houses for rent in Calgary. She’ll be leaving mid-August and hopefully, Claire could already find a house for her there.

Instead of thinking of the things, people and places that she’ll gonna miss after she leaves Las Vegas, Janine is already concentrating on the list of attractions and landmarks that she’s gonna visit next month.

Among the tourist attractions in the downtown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada that Janine wants to visit are:

  1. Burns Building – a historic site built by Pat Burns in 1913
  2. Calgary Tower – an observation tower
  3. Cantos Foundation – a museum for music collections
  4. Chinese Cultural Centre – a museum and is the largest facility of its kind in North America

.

Well, good luck and have a safe trip Janine. I’m gonna miss you girl.

How to Choose a Dress to Wear to a Wedding

The usual concern of women who receive an invitation to a wedding is what to wear. The bride obviously is (and should be) the star of the day but it doesn’t mean that you don’t have to dress your best, right?

To help you decide, here are some factors that you must consider in choosing the dress to wear to a wedding:

  1. Formality of the event
  2. – be sure to ask whether it’s a formal, semi-formal or a casual event. You don’t want to show up in long evening gowns or prom dresses uk in a beach wedding and look so out of place.

  3. Comfort and fit
  4. – be sure to wear a dress that is comfortable and fits just right. Consider the kind of fabric too. For example, if you’re conscious of your legs, don’t wear something so short that you’ll end up just feeling paranoid about what you wear and end up not enjoying the occasion.

  5. Budget
  6. – be sure that whatever gown or dress you buy, it is well within your budget. You don’t wanna get broke just because of a dress (and besides, you still need to buy a gift).

  7. Time of the day
  8. – just like any occasion, you should consider the time of the day when the wedding will take place as a factor in choosing a gown.

  9. Theme of the wedding

– wedding themes make each one unique so it would be good if you’ll know the theme ahead of time. Aside from helping you choose the perfect dress, it will also help you pick the right accessories for the event.

The ones I mentioned above are just some general tips but I hoped it helped you choose the best dresses to wear to a wedding.

A Vacation in Montana?

Have you been to Montana? My friend, Alice, recently invited us to join her and her husband, Mark, in their summmer visit in Redlodge, Montana and enjoy summer in this wonderful gateway to Yellowstone Park via the beautiful Beartooth Highway. They already own a vacation house there so accommodation will not be a problem, according to Alice.

Both Mark and Alice are based in Los Angeles and they only get to see their vacation home in summer. It’s good that with home security redlodge, they don’t have to worry about the security of their vacation house even though they rarely go there during the year.

I am really tempted to go and will try to make plans at work to see if my schedule can accommodate at least a one week off. I just hope that I can still access www.localtv-satellite.com during my vacation so that I won’t have to miss the tv shows that I’ve been following.
