My boss is probably the nicest person on the planet but sometimes I feel like he doesn’t understand that I can’t be available 24 hours a day. I put in more than my fair share of work when I’m in the office but when I leave at night I expect to be able to go home and leave it all behind me but unfortunately that’s just not whatever ends up happening.
I usually get out my laptop with my clear wire wimax 4g to do some light online shopping from the couch and then I end up writing e-mail after e-mail that has to do with work because everything seems urgent when it’s coming into your e-mail box after 8 PM.
I know it’s partially my fault because I should lay down more strong boundaries with my boss and the rest of my coworkers but it’s really difficult to do when you feel like you’re part of a team that needs you and issues do arise even when you’re out of the office.
