My Boss

My boss is probably the nicest person on the planet but sometimes I feel like he doesn’t understand that I can’t be available 24 hours a day. I put in more than my fair share of work when I’m in the office but when I leave at night I expect to be able to go home and leave it all behind me but unfortunately that’s just not whatever ends up happening.

I usually get out my laptop with my clear wire wimax 4g to do some light online shopping from the couch and then I end up writing e-mail after e-mail that has to do with work because everything seems urgent when it’s coming into your e-mail box after 8 PM.

I know it’s partially my fault because I should lay down more strong boundaries with my boss and the rest of my coworkers but it’s really difficult to do when you feel like you’re part of a team that needs you and issues do arise even when you’re out of the office.

Are You Affected by The Issue Between Walgreens and Express Scripts?

Have you heard about the issue between Walgreens and Express Scripts?

Express Scripts acts as a middleman between pharmacies providing the health care service and employers and health plans who pay for the medications. As of January 1, 2012, Express Scripts Inc. has decided that Walgreens will no longer be in it’s network.

According to a press release provided by Walgreens, some users are already upset about this. Some U.S. military personnel, family members, retirees and others in the Department of Defense Tricare pharmacy benefits program have already signed a petition demanding access to Walgreen and a survey of 823 employers showed that 82% of them would not exclude Walgreens for less than 5 percent savings on their total pharmacy spenda and 21 percent would not exclude Walgreens from their network regardless of the amount of savings.

A statement from Walgreens stated that they offered a guarantee that Walgreens prices would match or beat the average costs per adjusted prescription of all other pharmacies in the Tricare network during the negotiations. Walgreens did this in an effort to prevent our country’s military personnel from being caught in the middle – to help support and serve the troops.

To minimize the disruption, Walgreen is offering a special discount on annual membership for its Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens. An individual can join during a special January promotion for only $5, or $10 for a family membership, and receive savings on more than 8,000 brand name and all generic medications. More than 400 generics are available with a three-month supply for less than $1 a week. Regular annual membership is $20 for an individual and $35 for a family.
