Beating the Christmas Rush

Are you ready for Christmas?

Four days to go and I’m still not finished with all my Christmas shopping! Oh, what a rush!!! I know that there’s more to Christmas than gifts (it’s about Jesus Christ, the ultimate gift that God has given us) but with lots of parties to attend to where we have this exchange gifts, I need to make sure I don’t forget buying gifts for everyone who I need to give presents to.

It’s a good thing that all the things that I bought online arrived this week. Now, I don’t have to wait for the postman or somebody from UPS or FedEx to arrive a day before Christmas like I did last year. The last one arrived from HeartRateMonitors.com this morning but boxes and packages from various websites such as Amazon, Tennis WArehouse, EBay, Tigerdirect and BestBuy had been arriving at my doorsteps for days already.

Yes, I love online shopping. And now that it’s Christmas season, a lot of websites are offering free shipping (yey!) so I love it some more.

Anyway, as I’ve said, I’m still not thru with my Christmas shopping. Those are the gifts that I intend to buy from shops this Saturday morning. Oh, I wish I could beat the Christmas rush – or somebody won’t be receiving his or her gift from Santa.

Preparing for Black Friday Online Shopping!

It’s less than ten days before my much-awaited Black Friday shopping spree! For some, it might not be a big deal but I have been shopping during Black Fridays and I know that if you just do your homework, you can get the best deals on that day!

With doing the homework means that you first research what items you really do need so that you won’t be tempted to buy things that you’ll not be using. Then, if your favorite store offers them, take note of the pre-Black Friday sale prices so that you’ll know how much you will be saving during the sale. This is quite important! I remember seeing a DSLR camera that cost more during Black Friday (thanks goodness! I’ve been monitoring the prices) despite the seller claiming that it’s sold at 15 to 20% off during the sale. If you’re not careful, you’ll end up spending more!

Third, look for merchants that offer Black Friday deals online (ahh! one of the things I love about technology and the development of online store software). You’ll save on time, gas and effort if you just stay at home and do your shopping online. You can basically visit a lot of (online) stores during that day instead of spending your day lining up at one store.

And lastly, make sure that you have enough credit available on your credit card. You can’t do shopping online if you don’t have it, alright?

Oh, and let me add: don’t overdo it! Just buy what you need and what you can actually afford. Ayt?

Have You Tried DealDash?

Have you heard of the site called DealDash? I stumbled upon the site while searching for some gifts that I can give my friends this holidays and I thought it was cool.

DealDash claims to be a fair, honest and risk free alternative to penny auctions. It’s free to register an account but it’s necessary to purchase a bid pack before you can join auctions (where each bid costs $0.60 but bids are sometimes sold for as low at 15¢ per bid).

According to their website, you can use DealDash risk free because of the Buy it Now option.
If you don’t win the auction, you can buy the item for its regular price
and get all the bids you used in that auction back for free. You can then use the bids again and try to win another auction. In addition, first time bidders on DealDash who use all their bids without winning a single auction will receive all the bids from your first bid pack purchase back for free for a second chance!

I also heard that DealDash offers a no questions asked 100% money back guarantee. They say that if you are not satisfied for any reason, Deal Dash will refund your entire first purchase – no questions asked!

Cool, right?

Hmm, how about trying DealDash risk free today!
