Four Places That I Want to Visit Before 2012

How time flies! I can’t believe that it’s already the first day of August. Just a few more months and we’re gonna say thank you and good bye to 2011.

During the start of 2011, I created a new year’s resolution and included 12 places that I wish to visit during the year. Out of the twelve, I still have four items left on my list.

Here, let me run down the (remaining) four places that I want to visit before 2012

Honda Center

Honda Center is an indoor arena in Anaheim, California which opened in 1993. It’s previously known as the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim and colloquially called The Pond or The Ponda. I’m planning to go there and watch the Los angeles Lakers vs Utah Jazz NBA game in October. Hmmm, should I start buying some Honda Center tickets already?

Allstate Arena

Allstate Arena is a multipurpose arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Do you know when I’ll be needing some Allstate Arena tickets? On August 10 – and that’s because four time Grammy awards winner Taylor Swift will be performing there.

Chicago Theatre

By September 9, I am planning to visit the Chicago Theatre on the North State Street in the Loop area of Chicago, Illinois. Why? Because Allison Krauss & Union Station will be onstage at that time. Oh, I can’t wait to buy some Chicago Theatre tickets for me and my fellow Allison Krauss fanatic friend, Helen.

Madison Square Garden

Madison Square Garden is where the New York ranger play their home games. I’m planning to buy some New York Rangers ticket for their game during the last week of October. I’m excited to watch this team (which is one of the oldest teams in the NHL) play. Of course there are lots of other shows in this multi-purpose arena in New York City (which is even called as the world’s most famous arena) so I’m sure to be buying some Madison Square Garden tickets for other events too.

I’m sad. My friend, Janine, will be leaving the country and will be transferring to Calgary – the largest city in the Province of Alberta, Canada. She bagged a job with Shell Canada and is very excited to transfer to this beautiful city.

Janine’s currently communicating with our college classmate, Claire, who’s also based in Alberta to help her look for houses for rent in Calgary. She’ll be leaving mid-August and hopefully, Claire could already find a house for her there.

Instead of thinking of the things, people and places that she’ll gonna miss after she leaves Las Vegas, Janine is already concentrating on the list of attractions and landmarks that she’s gonna visit next month.

Among the tourist attractions in the downtown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada that Janine wants to visit are:

  1. Burns Building – a historic site built by Pat Burns in 1913
  2. Calgary Tower – an observation tower
  3. Cantos Foundation – a museum for music collections
  4. Chinese Cultural Centre – a museum and is the largest facility of its kind in North America

.

Well, good luck and have a safe trip Janine. I’m gonna miss you girl.
