The United States of America is still facing issues related to uncertain economy. More people are still losing jobs and foreclosure rates are again on the upward trend.
If you’re one of the many who recently lost their homes to foreclosure, laid off from a job and needed a more affordable home, or just plain looking for a low income housing, you would want to get in touch with a realtor who’s really into helping people search for low income housing across the country.
I’m mentioning this because I’ve met a lot of realtors in the past who are only concerned with how big their commissions are. Even if they have access to information on low income housing, they still give listings of properties that max out the available credit of the buyer.
For example, if a buyer is approved for a $100,000 loan but a house which costs only $50,000 is available in the market, they won’t tell their client about it and instead provide them with a list of houses that costs $100,000 to $120,000 (even more).
My suggestion is “don’t be fooled.” You can view high quality listings of housings and apartments that are available to people who have low household incomes in web sites. Some sites even provide over 50,000 available low income housing units across the country – with each listing with a detailed description, pictures and contact information.
There’s so many resources available for those looking for low income housing (especially online). You just need to be resourceful and don’t just rely on your realtor especially if you notice that the only listing that he or she gives you are those that max out your available credit.
