Have you seen some pictures of Matthew McConaughey lately? He’s slimmed down by 15 pounds already and is planning to drop 15 pounds more for his role as Ron Woodruff in his upcoming movie, The Dallas Buyer’s Club. To portray a man who contracted the AIDS virus in the 1980s, McConaughey must look like he really is sick, he shouldn’t look healthy, right?
Anyway, here’s a picture from Yahoo so that you’ll see what I mean. Again, the credits go to Yahoo and no copyright infringement is intended:
Already thin, right? Can you imagine what he’ll look after shedding off an additional 15 pounds more? Oh no! I hope he doesn’t jeopardize his own health just for this role. Trying to lose 30 pounds when you already are healthy might be too much for the body, do you agree?
He will probably need a lot of pampering after finishing this movie – and gradually go back to his previous weight (with stress on the word gradual). Coupled with exercise, proper diet, lots of sleep, he will hopefully back to his healthy look after some time.
What do you think of actors and actresses who prepare for their movie roles to the extent of drastically changing their weights (like losing or gaining more weight)? Care to share your thoughts in the comment section?
