Oscar-winning actor, Michael Douglas, has only one treatment session left to tackle in his fight against the big “C”. The 66 year old husband of Catherine Zeta-Jones was diagnosed with throat tumor and had been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation for eight weeks now.
“I am very optimistic,” Douglas said in a statement. His doctors are also expecting a full recovery after the treatment.
No further treatments are scheduled after this week’s treament. His recovery is expected to take about another six weeks, after which he’ll just be undergoing periodic check-ups.
Douglas and Zeta-Jones recently appeared together at the New York premiere of his latest movie, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
