Willie Revillame’s upcoming show on TV5 entitled “Willing Willie” airing on October 23 may be put on hold as ABS-CBN Corporation files a petition in the Quezon City Regional Trial Court to issue a temporary restraining order (TRO) and a writ of preliminary injunction to stop the former “from committing further violations to his contract with the network.”
The 38-page petition contains ABS-CBN’s appeal to the court to restrain Revillame from creating or performing work in companies that are direct competitors of ABS-CBN. It also asked the court to stop the TV host “from engaging in activities which are adverse to the interests of ABS-CBN.”
The issue between ABS-CBN and Revillame started when the later threatened the ABS-CBN management during the May 4 episode of “Wowowee” with a resignation if management does not fire Jobert Sucaldito, another artist of the network as seen in the following video:
He was later sanctioned by the management with a temporary suspension which was later countered by Revillame with a move to rescind his contract with the network.
Their case regarding the contract rescission is still in court.
