How’s your Thanksgiving preparation everyone? Do you have a Thanksgiving tradition?
Well, we have this family tradition of having some sort of family reunion during Thanksgiving – inviting even extended families to celebrate the season with us. This is the reason why I’ve been busy lately with all the preparations (although my parents and sister are also helping me out in the preparation).
We usually do some activities during the day to bond with our family and relatives. Most of the guys usually play darts and billiards while usually, the girls spend some time in the kitchen then play some bingo and other games. Speaking of that game, you should hear my Aunt Amy when she calls out those numbers – she’s so full of sense of humor and she’s just so funny! Well, she’s actually a bingo enthusiast because she likes to play it a lot and even plays online bingo games when she’s at her own house.
For my non-US readers who are probably wondering what “Thanksgiving” is – Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Day is an annual tradition here in the United States. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November and this has been the case since 1863. It became a federal holiday only in 1941 although historically, it’s a religious observation to give thanks to God.
So officially, tomorrow is Thanksgiving day here in the US – that also means I’ll be away from the computer for a while because the day after that is Black Friday, one of my favorite days of the year.
